Mayors elect 2024 Executive Committee and Leadership positions

We were pleased to host South East Queensland’s Mayors for the first meeting of the Council of Mayors (SEQ) for the 2024-2028 term. The meeting marked an exciting moment for our region with fresh perspectives and steadfast dedication to improving the future of SEQ and its many communities.

As the fastest growing region in Australia, continued collaboration between local governments will be critical to keep South East Queensland the best place to work, live and play.

Council of Mayors (SEQ) has, and will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of our region and the Board discussed key regional priorities including transport infrastructure, managing the region’s record growth, collaboration in areas such as waste management and the environment, as well as the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We’re also pleased to announce the CoMSEQ Executive Committee and Leadership positions:
