The first event of the World Drone Challenge, Future Drone, will take place in the Lockyer Valley next month.
The aim of World Drone Challenge is to create an environment of cooperation and competition that invites leading organisations and global experts to push the boundaries of drone technology beyond its current limits.
The Future Drone innovation event will be held on 26 – 28 May at University of Queensland, Gatton Campus, with future events planned throughout South East Queensland in the coming months.
Participants in the Future Drone event will work in teams across two streams, one on developing new ideas in drone technology and drone services and the other solving a number of challenges.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council are now working closely with event organisers to provide local accommodation options and look at opportunities to showcase the region to the event’s many attendees.
